The St Christophers Organisation is engaged by Milton Keynes Council to help run facilities for homeless young people in need of support and care.
St Andrews Baptist Church, being located very close the St Georges Road Hostel, have undertaken, as an extension of the work done on behalf of The Food Bank, to provide a facility for St Christophers to call on, on the occasions when a young person is referred to the hostel after Social Services offices are closed and the young person has no money in order to buy food. The church provides volunteers with a an agreed shopping list and undertake to buy perishable as well as the non perishable food stuffs that are required to carry the young person over until their social services payments are received.
